Profile
Dr Loh Ngai Kun is a clinical neurologist with an interest in epilepsy and sleep disorders. He has been with the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) since the beginning in June 1999.
Close to his heart is patient care, especially in managing inpatients who are generally sicker and more ill compared to outpatients, thereby requiring more attention and care. We believe in delivering the best holistic care possible to every patient, and doing everything humanly possible, with no regrets thereafter, to achieve what we can for the patient. At the same time, we also believe in clear communication to the patient’s family so that their expectations are in touch with the reality of the situation. When this happens, with the family witnessing the doctors doing their very best despite the gravity of the situation, they feel assured and comforted, no matter what the outcome is for the patient.
Besides managing patients with neurological disorders, Dr Loh has a keen interest in teaching senior residents, medical students and technicians. Have been involved in the teaching of electroencephalography (EEG) to our Senior Residents and EEG technicians on a weekly basis for many years.
