Doctors removed a portion of her skull to relieve pressure on her brain, but repeated complications set back her recovery each time, leaving her partially immobile and dependent on others for daily activities. Through years of daily exercise and sheer determination, Lim was eventually able to walk on her own by 2018, though she still experiences memory gaps and requires constant assistance.
